Visiting with children

Culture, nature and horses, a winning trio for a great day out

Between the château, the grounds and the Great Stables, it’s impossible to be bored! There’s something for everyone: for fans of history or art, nature lovers or horse lovers, we propose a wide range of activities for a great family day out!

Morning

What better way to start the day than a fun visit in the château thanks to our game booklet (6-12 year olds)? Booklet available on-site (can be obtained from the ticket desk at the château). Download the booklet

Or, weather permitting, you can enjoy a relaxing family moment with a boat ride, or by visiting the domain on a bicycle, scooter or golf cart in the bucolic setting of the château’s grounds and gardens. Find out more

Lunch time

For lunch, you can choose between the restaurant in the château or the restaurant in the grounds. Make the most of it to order an authentic, tasty Chantilly whipped cream dessert! Prior booking advised. You can also enjoy a family picnic at the tables located under the trees in the English garden.

Afternoon

Head for the Great Stables with your family to watch an equestrian demonstration at 2.30 pm (included in the entrance ticket, see demonstration dates and times), an opportunity to meet the horses, donkeys and ponies!

Or an equestrian show (admission with Show ticket OR 1-day ticket + Show), ages 3 and over, according to the day of your visit! See show dates and times

You can also visit the Museum of the Horse, with a sensory itinerary especially designed for children. Here they can learn all about horses, through the senses of smell, hearing, sight and touch.
