Architectural masterpiece of the 18th century, the Great Stables were built by the architect Jean Aubert for Louis-Henri de Bourbon, 7th prince of Condé. The Great Stables are home to the Museum of the Horse, which presents the relationship between humans and horses since the beginning of civilisation.

Located on the 1st floor of the Château, the large suites were used as reception rooms by the Princes of Bourbon-Condé. The Château de Chantilly houses one of the most extensive libraries France. The reading room designed by architect Honoré Daumet at the end of the 19th century forms a showcase for the manuscripts of the princes of Condé and the Duke of Aumale’s treasures.
