The show Kalendae, la ronde des Heures, presented at the Château de Chantilly, accompanies the exhibition of the manuscript Les Très Riches Heures du duc de Berry. Inspired by the miniatures of the Limbourg brothers, this poetic equestrian show combines horses, performers, and a fantastical world to recreate an imaginary and immersive Middle Ages. It runs from April 9 to June 28, 2026.

New Exhibitions

The Giottos at the Jacquemart-André Museum by André de Chaalis
Starting January 24, 2026 • Giotto’s Office
Thanks to major renovations at the Château-Musée de Chaalis, visitors can now admire two masterpieces by Giotto in a completely new setting. These early 14th-century paintings, acquired by Nélie Jacquemart, engage in a dialogue with works by Giotto’s students and admirers collected by the Duke of Aumale, including a painting formerly attributed to Giotto himself. This collection is showcased in the Giotto Room.

Drawings from the Seicento: 17th-Century Italy, Featuring the Collections of the Musée Condé
March 7–June 14, 2026 • Prince Amyn Aga Khan Graphic Arts Gallery
The exhibition Seicento in Carta presents, for the first time, the entire collection of 17th-century Italian drawings and engravings held by the Musée Condé. A selection of works by great masters, ranging from late Mannerism to Bolognese and Roman Classicism, reveals the richness and diversity of Italian graphic art.

TITIEN, ECCE HOMO

Restored treasures: tributes to bibliophile patrons
February 4–June 1, 2026 • Cabinet des livres
The Château de Chantilly is home to the Cabinet des Livres, an exceptional library whose 14,000 precious volumes have been the focus of a preservation and restoration campaign since 2019, supported by numerous patrons. The presentation of some twenty iconic projects offers a glimpse into the history of books and bookbinding, the craftsmanship involved, and the richness of the Duke of Aumale’s collection.

From Naples to Chantilly: The Collections of Queen Caroline Murat
June 6–October 4, 2026 • Jeu de Paume Gallery
The Musée Condé presents works that once belonged to Caroline Murat (1782–1839), the “queen of the arts” and an enlightened patron who developed a refined taste for the arts and supported artists such as Ingres, Rebell, and Canova. The exhibition reconstructs her collection, revealing her major role in promoting the arts in Naples in the early 19th century, between France and Italy, under the patronage of the Italian and French embassies.

Napoleon in Chantilly
June 6–October 4, 2026 • Cabinet des livres
At the Musée Condé, the Duke of Aumale has assembled a collection of little-known mementos of Napoleon I, including portraits, archival documents, and books rarely on display. While Caroline Murat is the focus of an exhibition at the Jeu de Paume, the Cabinet des livres presents these previously unseen treasures of the Emperor, curated by Mathieu Deldicque and Florent Picouleau.
